As part of its commitment to reinforcing applied education and enhancing the efficiency of its graduates, the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a field scientific visit for its students to the Dialysis Unit at Imam Al-Sadiq Teaching Hospital, under the supervision of the Department of Dialysis Techniques coordinators, Assistant Lecturer Zainab Ali Mohsen and Assistant Lecturer Kazem Hussein Jassim. This visit is part of the college’s efforts to link theoretical knowledge with practical application, strengthen students’ readiness to engage in healthcare work environments, and consolidate cooperation with medical institutions to advance the educational process. During the visit, students observed the operation of the dialysis machine, with the specialized medical staff providing detailed explanations of the machine’s components and functioning, as well as the blood purification process and the critical role the device plays in compensating for kidney functions in patients with renal failure. Students also had the opportunity for hands-on observation and to learn about different medical cases and the main causes of this disease. In this context, the Department of Dialysis Techniques continues to organize scientific and practical activities that contribute to building qualified medical and technical personnel equipped with the skills and expertise needed to meet the demands of the healthcare sector. These initiatives align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, by supporting applied health education and contributing to the preparation of professionals capable of providing advanced healthcare services that enhance the quality of life in society.
