the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Techniques – Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific visit for the department’s students to Al-Imam Al-Sadiq Teaching Hospital / Dialysis Unit on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The visit was supervised by the department rapporteur, Assistant Lecturer Zainab Ali Mohsen, and the faculty member Assistant Lecturer Kadhim Hussein Jassim.
This initiative aims to strengthen the practical aspect of students’ education, develop their hands-on skills, and enhance academic collaboration with healthcare institutions.
As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, the visit included introducing students to the operational mechanisms of the hemodialysis machine. The specialized staff provided a detailed explanation of the device’s components and its mode of operation, in addition to clarifying the process of blood purification and the role of the machine in compensating for kidney function in patients with renal failure.
Furthermore, students were given the opportunity for direct field observation of clinical cases and to gain insight into the most prominent causes of kidney failure.
This visit comes as part of a series of scientific activities regularly organized by the department with the aim of preparing qualified medical and technical personnel equipped with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to meet the demands of the healthcare sector.
