the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Techniques – Al-Mustaqbal University organized a guidance workshop entitled “What to Say to a Patient Who Feels Hopeless About Recovery.” The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Younis Abdul Ridha Al-Khafaji, Head of the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques, on Monday, March 9, 2026. In pursuit of advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, the workshop included a guidance-oriented lecture on effective approaches to receiving and التعامل with patients experiencing feelings of hopelessness regarding recovery. It also provided a set of practical recommendations aimed at fostering positive energy, enhancing psychological support, and instilling hope in patients. The workshop aims to enhance the humanistic and professional communication skills of healthcare staff and students during their summer training, particularly in dealing with patients who experience despair regarding their recovery.
