The College of Administrative Sciences organized a charitable initiative to distribute Ramadan food baskets to needy families and orphans in Babil Governorate, embodying the spirit of giving during the blessed month of Ramadan and underscoring the university’s role in serving the community.
The initiative included a field visit to the Sahib Al-Lewa Charitable Foundation in the city of Hilla, where food baskets filled with basic food items were distributed in an effort to ease the financial burden on the target groups and bring joy to the orphans.
This humanitarian initiative was supervised by Prof. Dr. Haider Ali Al-Dulaimi, Dean of the College, and Prof. Dr. Amjad Hamid, Head of the Business Administration Department. This program is part of the college’s annual plan for community activities, which aims to instill values of human solidarity among students and faculty members, according to the Dean’s Office.
This aligns with the college’s commitment to encouraging students to engage in volunteer work and fostering a sense of social responsibility among them.
The initiative was carried out with the participation of Assistant Lecturer Amir Fares, Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Mohammed, Assistant Lecturer Duha Khalid, and Assistant Lecturer Tarfa Makki, and a group of second-year students from the Department of Business Administration also participated in organizing and distributing the aid.
The administration of the Sahib Al-Lewa Charitable Foundation praised this noble initiative, which highlights the close ties between academic institutions and the local community in Babil Governorate.
