University Al-Mustaqbal, under the leadership of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, celebrated World Water Day, observed annually on March 22, to highlight the importance of fresh water and its sustainable management. This year’s celebration focused on the link between water and gender equality, emphasizing the vital role of women and girls in making decisions related to water resources. The events included awareness campaigns to promote water conservation, an international conference on environment and water, and hydroponic initiatives aimed at reducing water consumption and protecting resources. Additionally, workshops and seminars were organized to highlight the empowerment of women in the water sector. These activities sought to raise awareness of the challenges associated with water scarcity and its environmental and social impacts. The celebrations also reaffirmed University Al-Mustaqbal’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6 on clean water and sanitation. They highlighted the university’s efforts to enhance community engagement and promote research and innovation in sustainable solutions to protect water resources and ensure a better future for coming generations.
