The College of Science / Department of Medical Physics at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop entitled “Investing in Clean Energy and Its Role in Supporting the National Economy,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Najwan Thaer Ali on July 3rd, with the participation of faculty members and students. The workshop highlighted the importance of transitioning to clean energy sources as a strategic approach to addressing environmental and economic challenges. It focused on renewable energy sources, particularly solar and wind energy, and their role in reducing carbon emissions and achieving environmental sustainability. Additionally, the workshop reviewed investment opportunities in the clean energy sector and their impact on supporting the national economy by diversifying income sources and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. It also emphasized the role of clean energy in fostering innovation and creating new job opportunities. Furthermore, key challenges facing this sector were discussed, along with proposed solutions to enhance the investment environment and encourage both public and private initiatives. The workshop concluded by stressing the importance of raising awareness about clean energy and supporting national efforts toward adopting renewable energy projects to achieve sustainable development.
