The Department of Biology at Almustaqbal University organized, on Thursday, 26/3/2026, a scientific workshop titled "The Impact of International Policies on Iraq’s Water Availability and the Necessary Measures to be Taken", presented by Lecturer Dr. Dohaa Salah Sahib, attended by the department’s staff and students, with the participation of a faculty member from the College of Science. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ understanding of critical environmental and water-related issues, highlighting the impact of international policies on Iraq’s water resources, and reviewing proposed measures to ensure the sustainable use of these vital resources. The workshop included an interactive presentation, during which the lecturer delivered the scientific material in a clear and organized manner, while opening the floor for discussion and questions, allowing students to actively engage and explore practical solutions, reflecting the level of awareness and interest in environmental and water issues within the university community. The department’s administration affirmed its commitment to organizing such scientific activities that contribute to developing students’ research and analytical skills, and reinforce their ability to connect theory with practical applications in the field of biology. This workshop comes as part of Almustaqbal University’s efforts to enhance the educational process and strengthen students’ scientific skills, in line with the latest modern teaching methods.
