As part of strengthening the societal role of academic institutions, the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering Technologies at the Engineering Technical College concluded its humanitarian campaigns in the final days of the holy month of Ramadan on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The campaigns were held under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Engineering Technical College, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, with the guidance of the department’s presidency. These campaigns included humanitarian initiatives represented by the distribution of food baskets to a number of underprivileged families. This effort aimed to promote the values of social solidarity and to foster a spirit of volunteerism among students, especially during the holy month. Such activities reflect the department’s commitment to its humanitarian role alongside its academic and educational mission. This campaign marks the conclusion of a series of initiatives organized by the department throughout the month of Ramadan, emphasizing the importance of supporting those in need and strengthening the bonds of cooperation and compassion within the community. Allah the Almighty says: “And whatever good you put forward for yourselves—you will find it with Allah; it is better and greater in reward.” (Al-Muzzammil: 20) We ask Allah to accept the good deeds and to sustain the spirit of giving and kindness.
