Al-Mustaqbal University organizes a workshop on the role of women in the consumption and management of water resources. The Women’s Affairs Unit in the College of Engineering Technologies – Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division at Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an awareness and development workshop under the supervision of Engineer Israa Issa on Thursday, March 26, 2026, entitled: “The Role of Women in the Consumption and Management of Water Resources,” under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The workshop aimed to highlight the vital role played by women in rationalizing water consumption and managing it efficiently, as they are a fundamental component of society and an active contributor to achieving sustainable development. The workshop also discussed the importance of raising community awareness about the water scarcity crisis and the need to adopt sustainable practices in the daily use of water resources. This initiative comes as part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance the status of women and highlight their contributions to building a sustainable future, in line with the university’s strategic vision and within the framework of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace and Security (2025–2030), reflecting the focus on protecting women and strengthening their role in society. The workshop also witnessed an emphasis on the university’s efforts to promote equality. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq.
