As part of its commitment to supporting cultural and artistic activities and promoting the role of women in society, the College of Fine Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the activities of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2026, through organizing an art exhibition and heritage performances that reflected the students’ creativity and authentic artistic spirit.
The participation was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Suhaila Kazem Jassim, where the college’s female students presented a remarkable presence in the art exhibition. In addition, a presentation of Arab heritage was organized, embodying cultural identity in a creative manner, led by the students Shahlaa, Zainab, and Shahd, who excelled in delivering folkloric performances inspired by authentic Iraqi heritage.
The event also witnessed distinguished participation from male students, as Sarmad Ikram contributed through artistic makeup, while Hassan Haider took part in the accompanying artistic activities. Furthermore, second-year students Mujtaba Anad and Murtadha participated by presenting a short film that addressed social issues in a contemporary artistic style.
The event saw wide engagement from attendees, reflecting the level of creativity and artistic awareness among the college students, and emphasizing the importance of supporting young talents in the fields of art and heritage. This aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality) and the promotion of women’s role in cultural and social life.
