This workshop was part of a series of scientific activities organized by the department, aiming to raise environmental awareness and promote scientific knowledge related to the preservation of natural resources, particularly water resources, which are considered essential for life. The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of water quality analysis and its role in achieving environmental sustainability. It focused on the key standards used to evaluate water quality, including physical, chemical, and biological properties. It also addressed the major pollutants that may affect water quality, whether natural or resulting from human activities, and their impact on human health and living organisms. The workshop included a detailed explanation of several modern techniques used in water analysis, including laboratory measurement methods and advanced instruments that help detect pollutants with high accuracy. It also emphasized the importance of conducting regular water testing and adhering to approved environmental standards to ensure water safety and suitability for various uses. Furthermore, the workshop discussed the role of academic and research institutions in supporting efforts to protect water resources through scientific studies and the development of sustainable solutions to water pollution problems, as well as enhancing cooperation among relevant authorities to achieve effective water management. The workshop witnessed notable interaction from participants, with many questions and discussions that enriched the session and expanded the scientific understanding of the attendees, reflecting the importance of this vital topic in light of current environmental challenges. At the conclusion of the workshop, emphasis was placed on the need to raise community awareness about the importance of water conservation and to adopt proper consumption practices to ensure sustainability for future generations.
