On Thursday, March 26, 2026, Dr. Karrar Majeed Ubaid conducted a scientific workshop titled “The Use of Nanotechnology in Water Purification” via Google Meet, with the participation of a number of faculty members, students, and individuals interested in environmental and technological fields.
This workshop was part of a series of scientific activities organized by the department, aiming to enhance scientific awareness and highlight modern technologies used in addressing environmental challenges, particularly those related to water resources.
The workshop aimed to introduce nanotechnology and its important role in water purification by explaining how nanomaterials can be used to remove contaminants efficiently and improve water quality. It also addressed the advantages of this technology compared to traditional methods in terms of accuracy, efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainability.
