On Friday, March 27, 2026, the Department of Anesthesia Technology held a scientific seminar entitled:
“The Relationship Between Water, Energy, and Food”, presented by Professor Dr. Mohamed Abu Al-Saud, as part of initiatives supporting scientific research related to sustainable development.
The seminar addressed the concept of the Water-Energy-Food Nexus and its importance in achieving environmental balance and ensuring resource sustainability, due to the interdependent impact of these elements on public health and vital systems.
It also highlighted the importance of integrated management of these resources amid environmental challenges and climate change, as well as the need to adopt sustainable scientific solutions.
The seminar emphasized the relevance of this topic to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
• Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
• Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being
The event was attended by several faculty members and students, where scientific discussions underlined the importance of raising environmental awareness and supporting research in this field.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the importance of continuing such scientific activities that contribute to sustainability and serve the community was emphasized.
