The College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness workshop entitled Rising Temperatures and Their Impact on Infectious Diseases on Tuesday, 24 March 2026, at the College of Dentistry hall. The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Saad Hassan Mohammed Ali, in the presence of the Dean of the College and a distinguished group of faculty members and administrative staff, as part of the College’s efforts to promote health awareness and preventive education.
The workshop aimed to highlight the impact of climate change and rising temperatures on the increased spread of infectious diseases, explaining modes of transmission and methods of prevention, while enhancing health awareness among participants regarding the importance of preventive measures.
The session covered several key topics, including the relationship between environmental factors and disease spread, the role of high temperatures in activating pathogens, and the importance of health education and preventive practices in maintaining public health.
The workshop also emphasized the vital role of educational institutions in promoting health awareness and strengthening social responsibility, contributing to the preparation of well-informed individuals capable of addressing contemporary health challenges.
The College Deanship affirmed that organizing such awareness workshops reflects its commitment to its academic and societal mission in disseminating health culture and fostering an educational environment based on knowledge and continuous awareness.
