The Department of Business Administration at the College of Administrative Sciences, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a voluntary field activity on Sunday, March 29, 2026, which included a large-scale service campaign to install street lighting in several roads in the Abu Ghraq area, in joint cooperation with the local municipality.
The campaign witnessed active participation from the department’s faculty members and students, as field teams began installing and equipping a number of modern energy-efficient (LED) lighting units. The work also included improving the lighting network in the targeted streets to ensure comprehensive coverage and to eliminate the difficulties faced by pedestrians during nighttime.
This initiative aims to achieve several strategic and social objectives, most notably:
Improving service conditions: Enhancing public safety and facilitating the movement of citizens and vehicles at night.
Social responsibility: Promoting the values of volunteer work among students and linking academic knowledge with practical application.
Institutional partnership: Activating cooperation between educational institutions and service departments to support the path of sustainable development.
The organizers emphasized that this activity reflects the university’s awareness of its pioneering role in serving the local community. Meanwhile, the participating students expressed their pride in this experience, which provided them with a genuine opportunity to leave a tangible positive impact, affirming that contributing to the development of cities strengthens the spirit of belonging and national responsibility.
It is worth noting that this activity is part of a series of community initiatives adopted by the Department of Business Administration at Al-Mustaqbal University, aimed at developing students’ leadership and social skills alongside their academic excellence.
