The Fuel and Energy Techniques Engineering Department has completed a comprehensive case study on associated gas flaring. This initiative was conducted from March 27 to March 28, under the supervision of Asst. Lecturer Shahad Mahmoud Mohammed, with active participation from the department's students.
The study included a field visit and photographic documentation at an oil field in southern Iraq. Additionally, the team conducted a community survey to measure public awareness regarding the environmental and economic damages caused by energy waste, aiming to identify sustainable solutions that support the national economy.
