The Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Techniques – Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific lecture on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, entitled “How Does Blood Overcome Gravity?”, delivered by Ms. Anssam Fadhil Mahmoud Agha, Activities Coordinator of the Department. The lecture included a scientific discussion with first-year students addressing the question: How does blood return to the heart in the systemic circulation? The discussion witnessed notable engagement among students, who actively participated through research and collaborative efforts to reach appropriate scientific explanations. The lecture also featured a video presentation illustrating the mechanism by which blood returns from the lower extremities (feet) to the heart. The lecture aimed to enhance and develop students’ scientific literacy, encourage the adoption of research-based learning and critical discussion, and foster a spirit of collaboration in identifying appropriate scientific solutions.
