A Scientific Workshop at the College of Nursing on Staying Up Late and Electronic Addiction

The College of Nursing organized a scientific workshop its Continuing Education Program on Saturday, April 4, 2026, titled “Staying Up Late and Electronic Addiction.” The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Hatem Karim Mansour, with wide participation from the college’s students. The workshop aimed to highlight the phenomenon of excessive late-night wakefulness and its negative effects on physical and mental health, as well as to discuss electronic addiction and its impact on students’ academic performance and daily behavior. The lecturer also addressed the main reasons behind excessive use of electronic devices, explained the associated risks, and provided a set of practical tips and guidelines to help reduce these behaviors. The workshop witnessed notable interaction from attending students, who raised many questions and inquiries, contributing to enriching the discussion and enhancing awareness about the importance of time management and the balanced use of technology. This workshop comes as part of a series of continuing education activities organized by the College of Nursing, aiming to raise health and cultural awareness among students and to develop their skills in line with academic and professional life requirements.
