Under the patronage and supervision of the Presidency of Almustaqbal University Almustaqbal University launched the activities of the first day of the Fifth Annual Book Fair on Saturday, April 4, 2026, with the attendance of the Head of the Department of Physics, the Department Rapporteur, faculty members, and students of the department, in a distinguished cultural event that brought together knowledge and creativity and offered a rich and integrated cultural experience. The fair is being held at the University’s Central Activities Building and is considered the largest among Iraqi universities. The first day witnessed the participation of 25 publishing houses from various countries around the world, presenting a diverse collection of books and publications. The event also included a wide range of cultural and artistic activities, such as direct meetings with a select group of writers, poets, and literary figures, distinguished theatrical performances, various art exhibitions, and a handicrafts bazaar showcasing innovative products, in addition to the distribution of free coupons for purchasing books, helping to promote a culture of reading among students and the public. The activities were further marked by the active presence and distinguished participation of the Department of Physics staff, along with the engagement of students in the various cultural programs through attendance, participation, and asking questions, reflecting the level of interest in cultural and intellectual development within the university community. This fair comes as part of the cultural and educational activities organized by Almustaqbal University to promote reading, spread knowledge, encourage literary and artistic creativity, and provide an integrated cultural environment that contributes to developing students’ awareness and enriching their academic and cultural growth.
