Almustaqbal University will launch the activities of the fifth edition of its Annual Book Fair on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Central Activities Building, under the slogan “Our Book, Our Future,” in a cultural event regarded as the largest of its kind among Iraqi universities. The fair will witness the participation of 25 publishing houses from inside and outside Iraq, presenting a wide range of scientific, literary, and intellectual publications, providing students and visitors with an integrated cultural experience that brings together knowledge and creativity. The program will also include a variety of cultural and artistic activities, including meetings with distinguished writers, poets, and literary figures, in addition to theatrical performances, art exhibitions, and a handicrafts bazaar. Free coupons for purchasing books will also be distributed in a step aimed at promoting a culture of reading and reinforcing the importance of books in building awareness and knowledge. The organization of this event will come within Almustaqbal University’s vision of spreading knowledge, encouraging literary and artistic creativity, and providing a university environment that supports cultural and scientific activity. The presence and participation of the Department of Medical Physics will also reflect the integration of academic and cultural roles in supporting knowledge-based events within the university. The fair is expected to attract a wide number of students and individuals interested in cultural affairs, due to the rich content and diverse activities it will offer, which will enhance the value of books and their role in shaping the future.
