College of Education Organizes an Awareness Seminar on the Role of Women in Self-Development

The College of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness seminar titled “The Role of Women in Self-Development and Ambition,” under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Roudhan Salman, and supervised by the Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din Abdullah, with the participation of a distinguished group of lecturers: Prof. Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din, Prof. Dr. Abdul Salam Jawdat, and Assistant Lecturer Liqaa Abbas from the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences. The seminar was held on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Psychological Counseling Room at the college, with the attendance of a number of faculty members and administrative staff. The seminar addressed the importance of self-development for women through enhancing abilities, acquiring skills, and maintaining psychological and physical well-being, in addition to time management and building self-confidence. It also highlighted the concept of ambition and ways to achieve it by setting clear goals, accepting challenges, and learning from successful experiences. Furthermore, the seminar discussed the major challenges faced by women, including social pressures and multiple roles, and presented a number of solutions such as building a supportive network, balancing responsibilities and ambitions, and strengthening self-belief. This seminar was organized with the aim of raising awareness of women’s role in developing themselves and contributing to building a conscious and progressive society, as well as supporting the implementation of the National Strategy to Combat Violence Against Women and Girls for 2026, and contributing to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education. #College_of_Education #Al_Mustaqbal_University
