The College of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness workshop under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Roudhan Salman, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din Abdullah. The workshop, titled “Climate Change and Its Impacts on Water Sustainability,” was held on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Hall (104) on the first floor of the College of Physical Education building, in the presence of the Head of the English Department, the department rapporteur, and a number of students and faculty members. The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din Abdullah, with the participation of Dr. Karim Ashoush Mahdi and Assistant Lecturer Shadan Salah Shabar. It addressed the concept of climate change, its causes, and its direct impacts on water resources, such as drought, water pollution, changing rainfall patterns, and melting ice. The workshop also reviewed ways to address these challenges through rationalizing water consumption, reducing the carbon footprint, and increasing environmental awareness, in addition to presenting practical solutions that individuals can adopt to contribute to water sustainability. This workshop aimed to enhance environmental awareness among students and highlight the importance of water conservation in light of climate change.
