As part of the activities of the first day of Al-Mustaqbal International Sustainability Week 2026, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University conducted an inspection tour on Sunday, April 12, 2016, to the booth of the Medical Biotechnology Department, to review the most prominent scientific contributions and projects presented by the department’s students and staff. During the visit, His Excellency listened to a detailed explanation provided by the students about the displayed works, which included scientific posters and awareness models highlighting the importance of biotechnology in supporting sustainability concepts and environmental preservation. The University President praised the efforts made by the department, commending the level of organization and active participation that reflect the students’ and faculty members’ commitment to promoting scientific awareness and contributing to sustainable development goals. He emphasized that such events represent an important platform to showcase youth talents and encourage innovation in scientific fields, contributing to community service and keeping pace with modern developments. This participation comes within the framework of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to support scientific activities and enhance its role in spreading the culture of sustainability both inside and outside the university campus. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq.
