The activities of the Fourth International Sustainability Week 2026 were launched at Al-Mustaqbal University, under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the direct supervision of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with broad academic and community participation reflecting the university’s distinguished position and pioneering role in supporting sustainable development issues.
The opening ceremony witnessed remarkable attendance, including university faculty members, staff, and students, along with a distinguished group of guests comprising university professors and representatives of community institutions. During the ceremony, the University President officially announced the launch of this prominent scientific event, which is considered one of the leading academic initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of sustainability and enhancing environmental awareness داخل the university and beyond.
The opening activities included the inauguration of several scientific exhibitions by the University President, showcasing innovative projects and student ideas that contribute to providing sustainable solutions to environmental challenges. In addition, a variety of artistic, cultural, and sports activities were organized, reflecting the program’s diversity and the university’s commitment to fostering students’ scientific and creative potentials.
Sustainability Week aims to consolidate the concepts of sustainability and motivate young talents to present high-quality initiatives that support the achievement of sustainable development goals. It also serves as a scientific platform for exchanging expertise among researchers and specialists, while strengthening academic and community collaboration.
