As part of its strategic vision toward internationalization and enhancing its presence in global academic forums, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, headed a high-level delegation participating in the opening session of the EURIE 2026 Summit, held in Istanbul, with wide participation from international universities and academic institutions. The opening session witnessed distinguished attendance of more than 2,000 university presidents, deans, professors, researchers, and experts in the higher education sector, alongside the Turkish Minister of Higher Education and several government ministers, reflecting the summit’s significant academic and governmental importance. The opening ceremony also featured keynote speeches by prominent international academic leaders, including the President of the Eurasian Universities Union, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, the President of Times Higher Education, Mr. Phil Baty, and the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Dr. Amr Salama, who emphasized the importance of strengthening international cooperation and exchanging expertise among academic institutions. The delegation of Al-Mustaqbal University included the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuheiri; the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Shaker Majdi; the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Assistant Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd; and the Director of Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research, Prof. Dr. Salwan Obeid, along with several faculty members and academic staff.
