On Monday, 2016/4/13, the staff of the Medical Biotechnology Department at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, actively attended the panel discussion titled “Water Security in Iraq”, held as part of the Sustainability Week activities. This participation took place under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani. The session aimed to highlight the challenges facing water resources in Iraq and to discuss sustainable solutions to enhance water security. The department staff engaged with the session’s topics through attendance and scientific discussions, emphasizing the importance of biological sciences in supporting sustainable environmental solutions, particularly in water quality and treatment. This participation reflects the Medical Biotechnology Department’s commitment to promoting scientific awareness among its staff and contributing to academic activities that support sustainable development issues in Iraq.
