Specialized "PT SCAN" Workshop Advances Applied Learning in Forensic Science

The Department of Forensic Evidence at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a specialized workshop titled “PT SCAN” on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The event was held under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, with the follow-up of the Head of the Department of Forensic Evidence, Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Abdulhussein Habana. This workshop comes as part of the university’s commitment to strengthening the practical and applied skills of students in the Department of Forensic Evidence, as well as keeping pace with the latest scientific technologies used in forensic analysis and investigation. The session provided a comprehensive overview of PT SCAN technology and its role in supporting criminal investigations and enhancing the accuracy of laboratory results. The workshop was delivered by a distinguished group of faculty members: Assistant Lecturer Mais Uday Mohammed Assistant Lecturer Bushra Hussein Atiyah Assistant Lecturer Sarab Abbas Jassim Assistant Lecturer (Tutor) Amir Adnan Osama The workshop included both theoretical discussions and practical applications, and was attended by a number of students from the department, contributing to the development of their skills and improving their understanding of modern forensic tools, which positively prepares them for the job market. At the conclusion of the workshop, the organizers emphasized the importance of continuing such scientific activities that enhance students’ academic and professional levels and reinforce the university’s position as a leading institution in applied sciences.
