As part of the Future Sustainability Week activities, the Forensic Evidence Department at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Impact of Drugs in Iraq” on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Humanitarian Building – Hall (208), with the attendance of a number of faculty members and students.
The event was held under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, supervised by the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and followed up by the Head of the Forensic Evidence Department, Professor Dr. Sami Abdul Hussein Habbana.
The workshop was delivered by student Ali Ahmed Shaker, who discussed the impact of drugs in Iraq from social, health, and criminal perspectives, highlighting their negative effects on individuals and society, as well as reviewing key scientific and legal approaches to limit their spread.
The workshop witnessed active engagement from attendees through discussions and questions, within a distinguished academic atmosphere that reflects the college’s commitment to promoting awareness and developing students’ skills.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific events held during Future Sustainability Week, aiming to enhance legal and societal awareness and support students’ scientific knowledge in line with academic and societal development.
