On Sunday, April 12, 2026, the activities of the Forensic Evidence Department pavilion at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, were launched as part of the first day of the Fourth International Future Sustainability Week, under the patronage and in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, reflecting the department’s commitment to promoting sustainability concepts and strengthening its academic and societal role. The department’s participation in this international event embodies its vision of linking forensic sciences with environmental and social responsibility, highlighting the role of forensic evidence as a key pillar in supporting sustainability and achieving justice. The participation aimed to showcase the department’s contributions to advancing forensic education and serving the community, as well as raising awareness of the importance of scientific evidence in achieving sustainable justice, through presenting scientific outputs and applied projects prepared by students and faculty members. The pavilion featured a range of exhibits and activities, including student projects, applied research contributions, and community initiatives, in addition to highlighting modern techniques used in forensic analysis and showcasing educational practices aimed at improving forensic work efficiency in Iraq. The pavilion was visited by the University President, who reviewed the أبرز scientific outputs and emphasized the importance of scientific disciplines in achieving sustainable development goals. The Dean of the College noted that the department’s pavilion has become a distinctive attraction for visitors due to its rich scientific and applied content. The Forensic Evidence Department invites all faculty members, students, and interested visitors to attend and engage in its activities, to explore its contributions to achieving sustainable development goals and building a more aware and just society.
