A Cultural Forum on Supporting Iraqi Women Between Health and Empowerment at Al-Mustaqbal University

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Roudhan Salman, the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Education organized a cultural forum on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in the Humanities Building. The event was held in cooperation with the Babil Health Directorate, Babil Directorate of Education, and the National Team for Iraqi Women in Babil. The forum was held under the title “Psychological Support for Iraqi Women Between Health and Economic Empowerment: Opportunities for Sustainable Development,” aiming to highlight the importance of women’s mental health and to enhance their role in society and the labor market in line with sustainable development concepts. The session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul Jabbar, who emphasized the impact of mental health concepts on women’s behavior and social stability. Assistant Professor Dr. Anwar Khairallah discussed promoting women’s mental health across various aspects of life, including professional, family, and social domains. Dr. Sadeem Sami Hamid highlighted strategies for managing psychological stress and reducing conflicts and challenges faced by women. Meanwhile, legal expert Bardeis Hassan Hamza addressed the importance of economic empowerment and its role in strengthening women’s presence in the labor market. The forum was attended by a number of faculty members and interested participants and concluded with honoring the contributors in appreciation of their efforts in making this meaningful cultural event a success. #College_of_Education #AlMustaqbal_University
