The Department of Communications Engineering Technologies developed an applied project titled “Robotic Car for Live Imaging and Mobile Control” as part of the Fourth Sustainability Week, held on 13/4 at the Energy Research Center at Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading private university in Iraq. The project was supervised by Dr. Noor Abdul Kareem Mohammed Ali and implemented with the participation of a group of students from the department. The project aims to develop a smart robotic car based on the ESP32-CAM module, enabling live video streaming and real-time imaging, along with full remote control of the robot’s movement via a mobile phone using Wi-Fi connectivity, thereby enhancing applications of intelligent communication systems. The work integrates both electronic and mechanical aspects, where motors were connected to the control unit and programmed using the Arduino IDE environment. In addition, a web-based control interface was developed, allowing users to navigate the robot and monitor live streaming efficiently and smoothly. This project highlights the importance of employing modern technologies in robotics and smart communications, with wide applications in surveillance, exploration, and smart services. It also contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and Goal 4 (Quality Education), by enhancing students’ practical skills in programming and embedded systems. This activity comes as part of the university’s efforts to support innovation and strengthen applied education, contributing to preparing qualified graduates capable of keeping pace with technological advancements and serving the community.
