Al-Mustaqbal University concluded the activities of the Fourth International Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week 2026 in a distinguished academic atmosphere that reflected a spirit of innovation and knowledge integration. The closing ceremony was held under the patronage and in the presence of the university president, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, on Tuesday, 14 April 2026, with wide participation from the university's staff, students, and partners. The closing ceremony marked the culmination of a week rich with scientific and cultural activities. The university president, through his presence and continuous engagement, emphasized the importance of this event as a strategic platform for promoting sustainability concepts and strengthening the university's role in supporting development pathways, praising the qualitative achievements that reflect progress and institutional integration. In his remarks during the ceremony, the director of scientific and academic supervision, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, stated that the week was not merely a series of events but rather “an integrated canvas that embodied the spirit of creativity, depth of vision, and the will for change,” noting that the momentum witnessed reflects the convergence of academic thought with youthful ambition in a vibrant and dynamic form. He added that the week’s activities ranged from scientific conferences and specialized forums to artistic and technological exhibitions, as well as the presentation of innovative student projects offering promising solutions to contemporary challenges. He emphasized that this diversity created an integrated system that highlighted students’ capabilities and faculty creativity, reflecting a spirit of teamwork and knowledge integration within the university. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the university president, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, honored the participating colleges, with the College of Dentistry being among those recognized in appreciation of its efforts and active participation in the Sustainability Week activities. The recognition also included scientific, administrative, and support staff in appreciation of their contributions to the success of the event, in a scene that reflected institutional appreciation and encouragement of excellence.
