In a step reflecting the university’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility, the Council announced the launch of the “Al-Mustaqbal University Sustainability Charter” as an institutional framework that reinforces the commitment of the university, its staff, and its students to adopt sustainable practices. This includes supporting the use of renewable energy, reducing carbon emissions, and integrating sustainable development concepts into academic curricula and research activities—thereby strengthening the university’s position as a leading model at both the national and regional levels. The Council also reviewed the university’s distinguished international presence through its participation in the Eurasian Higher Education Summit (EURIE 2026) in Istanbul, emphasizing that such engagement enhances the university’s global academic reputation. On the organizational front, the Council discussed several key priorities, including logistical preparations for final examinations to ensure their smooth administration, the completion of academic curricula, and the fulfillment of continuous assessment requirements in accordance with established timelines. It also followed up on program accreditation processes across the university’s colleges to ensure alignment with ministerial standards, in addition to approving recommendations related to academic promotions and the awarding of scientific titles. At the conclusion of the session, the Council underscored the importance of summer training and international training programs for students, considering them essential pillars in linking academic outcomes with labor market demands and in developing practical skills in line with global standards—ultimately contributing to the preparation of graduates who are capable of competitiveness and innovation.
