Won the Al-Mustaqbal University Newspaper, issued by Al-Mustaqbal University—the leading private university in Iraq—on 18/04/2026 at Al-Imam Al-Sadiq University, the award for Best News Coverage during the National University Journalism Festival, with broad participation from newspapers representing public and private universities, alongside academic and media representatives. This achievement came after strong competition, as the festival’s judging committee recognized the newspaper’s professional and distinguished coverage of the event. The award shield was received by the Head of the Media Department and Editor-in-Chief, in appreciation of the efforts made in delivering high-quality journalistic content. The win reflects the advanced level of university media performance and the important role of student journalism in supporting academic activities and fostering competitiveness among educational institutions. It also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) through enhancing students’ media skills, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening academic and media collaboration between universities.
