They show the potential of swimmers, whether physical, psychological or physiological that he inherited, and it determines what can be accomplished by the individual through the training process that is planned for several years.
In the Genes Conference held at the Olympic General Assembly in 1986 AD
The researchers presented a study whose summary was the following:
• The type of genes is an influential factor in the physiological fitness and health of humans in general.
• The physical development of youngsters under normal conditions for both the degree of growth and its speed depends primarily on genetics.
• Genes have an important role in the rate and speed of the body's response to physical exercise.
_
General metrics for swimmers:
• Physical (height - weight - body type).
• Physiological (the efficiency of the heart - lungs - internal organs).
• Psychological features (inclinations - desires - tendencies - neurotic trait).
• Motor skills (technical and tactical performance).
These factors and requirements do not conclusively confirm the possibility of individual access to the highest
Athletic levels are a good starting point.
