Vitamin A is an important vitamin. It is a group of fat-soluble vitamins and plays a role in many vital body functions, including healthy vision, a strong immune system, reproduction, and good skin health because of its antioxidants that play a major role in eye health and maintenance. The retina, cornea and bone growth, so we must be careful to eat it in sufficient quantities so that the body does not suffer from many diseases.<br />This vitamin has a key role in the strength and clarity of your eyesight, as it helps in the production of certain pigments that allow the retina to function as required.<br />Vitamin A deficiency may occur when a person does not get enough vitamin A to cover the needs of his body, and may lead to severe symptoms causing vision problems and low immunity, and also occurs due to liver disorders. The liver stores most of the vitamin A in the body, and liver disorders can interfere with vitamin A storage.<br />Diseases and conditions that hinder the intestine's ability to absorb fats can also cause vitamin A deficiency.<br /> Deficiency of this vitamin is common in developing countries around the world, infants, children and people who are pregnant or breastfeeding are the most vulnerable group.<br />Vitamin A deficiency is the leading cause of blindness in children around the world. Each year, between 250,000 and 500,000 children are blinded by a vitamin deficiency<br />Symptoms of Vitamin A deficiency:<br />Symptoms of vitamin A deficiency can vary in severity. Some people may experience more serious complications than others<br />One of the early signs of vitamin A deficiency is night blindness If you are night blind, you will find it difficult to see well in the dark, but you can see normally if there is enough light.<br />As vitamin A deficiency worsens, the whites of your eyes and corneas can dry out and you will not be able to produce tears. Foamy spots may appear in the whites of the eyes and corneal ulcers or corneal dryness may appear, leading to blindness.. or called (Bitot).<br />Vitamin A deficiency treatment:<br />Treatment for mild forms of vitamin A deficiency includes eating foods rich in vitamin A. For more severe forms, your doctor may recommend eating more foods containing vitamin A while taking vitamin supplements.<br />Vitamin A rich foods:<br />There are a number of simple food sources of vitamin A, including plant and animal sources<br />Green vegetables such as broccoli<br />Orange vegetables like sweet potatoes, pumpkin<br />Yellow fruits such as oranges, mangoes<br />Beef or chicken liver<br />Types of fish such as salmon<br />In the end, we all have to pay attention to the benefits of vitamin A.
