The Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries, Mr. M. Dr. Alaa Dhari Jawad, today 11/19/2023, in attendance on behalf of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, A. The honorable Prof. Azhar Mohsen, proceedings of the gas investment conference in Iraq, which was held by the Petroleum Research and Development Center in cooperation with the South Gas Company.<br />The conference addressed the issues of not burning associated gas in the atmosphere, reducing emissions, and utilizing it for cooking gas, generating electric power, exporting, and converting it into other oil derivatives. The conference was attended by Professor Dr. Ibrahim Bahr Al-Ulum, former Minister of Oil and Advisor to the Minister of Oil for Energy Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdel-Baqi Al-Salayet, Director General of Southern Gas, deans and teachers.
