In recognition of the importance of international cooperation between universities to enhance their positions in global rankings, and with the aim of elevating the level of scientific research and improving the quality of education, an agreement was signed today (Saturday, July 6, 2024) between Al-Mustaqbal University and Ferdowsi University of Iran. This initiative aligns with the directions of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, to open new horizons for scientific and cultural cooperation with reputable international universities. It also resonates with the policy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by Minister Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, to globalize Iraqi universities and showcase their capabilities, enhancing their reputation in international forums.<br /><br />The agreement includes several key areas, such as joint scientific research, participation in scientific conferences and workshops, exchange visits, hosting visiting professors, leveraging successful experiences in achieving sustainable development goals, capacity building for professors, summer training for students, curriculum updates, and the potential launch of pioneering projects embodying the concept of a productive university. The agreement also highlights the benefit of Iranian scientific incubators in developing the engineering departments at Al-Mustaqbal University, making them effective in serving industry and society. Furthermore, visits were made to specialized laboratories in the field of robotics, featuring innovations from leading companies for medical and industrial purposes.<br /><br />The agreement was signed on behalf of Al-Mustaqbal University by a delegation that included the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Jawad Kadhem, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, and Mr. Mohsen Abd, Director of the Student Affairs Department. On behalf of Ferdowsi University, the agreement was signed by the Director of Cultural Relations, the Dean of the College of Engineering, along with several professors and experts.<br /><br />Through this cooperation, Al-Mustaqbal University hopes to achieve tangible benefits by exchanging expertise and knowledge, thereby enhancing its academic and scientific reputation both locally and internationally.
