Physical Education and Motor Skills of Sport<br />Hayder Nazar Jawoosh<br />Physical Education and Sport Sciences Department, Al-Mustaqbal University College, 51001 Hillah, Babil, Iraq<br />[email protected] <br />The purpose of physical education is developing motor skills and provide an opportunity for students to participate in such health-promoting physical activities, which it is an essential subject in higher education. The learning process in the field of physical education when acquiring motor skills focuses on exploring the movements and actions of the players, and this matter requires a lot of practice and feedback. In traditional approach of teaching noticed that the teacher needs to explain the correct movements and skills in front of the students of whole class. Moreover, students need to apply and practice their skills under the supervision of the teacher. The student needs to train frequently and get teacher feedback and guidance during the skills-learning process. However, the teacher may face challenges when discovering the non-standard actions of each student and then providing appropriate feedback based on students' different levels of physical ability.<br />The desire of many young students is to develop their sport skills and performance. Simultaneously, implementing the correct and appropriate methods to develop students' skills to support and attainment of excellence can be considered as an important goal for any teacher. Early identification of potential limits of a young student's performance allows for designing a customized training interventions aimed at facilitating his or her development. Given the imperative applied implications, an important sub-discipline of sport science research has aimed to develop methods that can facilitate teachers' work in identifying and developing young students.<br />Key word: Physical education, motor skills, sport<br /><br />
