In order to achieve the slogan “Towards a Sustainable University” and to achieve the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education)<br />The Department of Anesthesia, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Division, organized a lecture entitled (Difficulties and Challenges Facing Women in the Anesthesia Profession) on Tuesday, 11/5/2024<br />Given by Eng. Nahla Nomas and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sahra Qahtan Abdul Jabbar / Head of the Division, Dr. Roaa Nashat Abdul Amir and Dr. Nour Karim Damd<br />The lecture included drawing attention to the difficulties that hinder women's role in practicing their work fully, especially in the anesthesia profession, which limits their opportunities for professional development in the absence of institutional and family support and traditional social restrictions<br />It also included ways to overcome these obstacles by developing psychological and societal support and developing policies that enable women to practice their work while raising community awareness of the importance of women in the field of anesthesia and other fields<br /><br />The fifth goal (gender justice) and the tenth goal (reducing (inequalities) of the sustainable development goals
