A discussion session was organized under the management of Assistant Professor Heba Diyaa Abdul Amir from the Department of Biomedical Engineering on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, titled “Regulatory and Ethical Issues in Biomedical Engineering.” During the session, important regulatory and ethical aspects in the field of biomedical engineering were discussed. The session covered significant topics, including the ethical considerations of the biomedical engineer, as well as the protection of patient data privacy and safety. A large group of students attended the session, presenting diverse ideas and multiple perspectives on how to develop effective policies that regulate this vital field while safeguarding individual rights and safety.
