Diabetes brochure distribution campaign on the occasion of World Diabetes Day

In order to achieve the slogan "Towards a Sustainable University", the Department of Anesthesia Technology and in order to achieve the third goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Good Health and Well-Being), the Department of Anesthesia Technology organized a brochure distribution campaign inside the corridors and buildings of the University of the Future about diabetes, its side effects, prevention methods and risks on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. Diabetes refers to a group of diseases that affect how the body consumes blood sugar (glucose). Glucose is an important source of energy for the cells that make up muscles and tissues. It is also the main source of energy for the brain. Symptoms of type 1 and type 2 diabetes include:<br /><br />Feeling thirstier than usual.<br />Frequent urination.<br />Unintentional weight loss.<br />The presence of ketones in the urine.
