In order to achieve the slogan "Towards a sustainable university" and to achieve the third goal of the sustainable development goals (good health and well-being), the Department of Anesthesia Technology distributed a brochure in the corridors and buildings of the University of the Future on the dangers of smoking and its side effects and ways of prevention and risks, as smoking causes a long list of cancers, most notably lung cancer, heart artery diseases and respiratory diseases. Smoking also affects cancers of the urinary tract, kidney, cervix, stomach, and pancreas. By eliminating smoking, a third of deaths from cancer can be avoided!
