Under the sponsorship of the esteemed President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, and the esteemed Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Associate Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Mirdas, and in alignment with the efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) and Goal 4 (Quality Education), and in response to the university’s commitment to implementing ministerial instructions to enhance students’ practical knowledge, the Department of Biomedical Engineering organized a scientific seminar on Sunday, December 1, 2024, titled “The Role of Biomedical Engineers in the Field of Laser Cosmetic Devices.”<br /><br />The seminar was presented by Engineer Hooraya Hussein Al-Doghani, a Biomedical Engineer and member of the Iraqi Engineers Union, Babel Branch. The seminar covered various aspects of laser device systems, their working mechanisms, the main problems these devices face, and how to maintain them. The seminar was interactive, with many questions and discussions from the attendees, reflecting the importance of this topic in our society, especially in medical and cosmetic contexts.<br />
