In order to achieve the slogan "Towards a Sustainable University", the Department of Anesthesia Technology and in order to achieve the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education) held a training workshop for the assistants of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustaqbal University on Wednesday morning, 11/12, entitled (Laboratory Safety and Security Guidelines and the Most Important Contexts of Work in Laboratories). The workshop was lectured by Prof. Dr. Dahel Nasser Taha, the respected Chemical, Biological and Radiation Safety and Security Unit, in the presence of the head of the Laboratory Accreditation Unit at the college, Ms. Sherine Mohammed Makki. He thankfully explained in this workshop the most important safety and security procedures inside the educational laboratory and followed the necessary guidelines for safe handling of chemicals, biological waste, electrical wires and the mechanism for handling laboratory equipment inside the college. It was also learned more about how to apply the Iraqi standards for the quality of educational laboratories and the standard specifications followed according to the type of laboratory, in addition to defining a number of important terms in this field. Then the workshop concluded by opening the door for questions and discussion in front of the honorable attendees to answer any inquiries in this regard. Privacy. The meeting witnessed a clear interaction that resulted in the awareness and expansion of the teaching assistants’ vision of their effective role in achieving the desired learning outcomes from the practical aspect of the College of Pharmacy curricula in an ideal laboratory environment.
