On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, the teaching staff, Lecturer Tamar Maitham Abdul Wahab, Lecturer Muhammad Jawad Kazem, and Lecturer Bariq Ali Abdul Hadi, organized an awareness-raising activity entitled “Preserving water from pollutants”, in the presence of the students of the first stage of evening study in the department. Building and construction technology engineering at the Faculty of Engineering - Future University.<br />To protect water from pollutants, several important steps can be taken at both individual and community levels. Here are some key actions:<br />Awareness and Education: People should be educated about the importance of preserving water and the dangers of contaminating water bodies with chemicals, waste, and pollutants.<br />Proper Waste Management: Hazardous chemicals and toxic materials should be disposed of safely and not dumped into water sources.<br />Advanced Filtration Technologies: Implementing technologies like water treatment plants and filtration systems to ensure water is free from contaminants.<br />Protection of Water Sources: It’s essential to protect rivers, lakes, and wells from industrial or agricultural pollution through strict environmental regulations.<br />Water Recycling: Encouraging the reuse of treated wastewater for agriculture or industry to reduce demand for fresh water.<br />Protecting Natural Environments: Safeguarding agricultural lands and forests from pollution and erosion helps maintain water quality.<br />#The_First_University_in_Iraq
