student dropout is one of the most prominent challenges facing various educational systems worldwide, particularly in developing countries. This phenomenon refers to students discontinuing their education before completing the required academic stages, leading to negative consequences for individuals and society as a whole. Therefore, it is essential to direct research efforts toward case studies that explore the factors contributing to this issue—whether economic, social, psychological, or educational—to understand and analyze the underlying causes, assess their impact on students’ future prospects and their ability to integrate into society and the labor market, and identify prevailing trends among dropouts, such as age groups most vulnerable to this phenomenon and the socio-economic conditions that increase the likelihood of dropping out.

The goal is to develop practical recommendations for policymakers and the educational community, including ministries, universities, colleges, and faculty members, to mitigate this issue and establish a more inclusive and sustainable educational system. Ensuring quality education is crucial, as student dropout has significant negative repercussions, including rising unemployment rates, reduced job opportunities, and the exacerbation of poverty and crime. It also impacts society by diminishing the quality of human capital and overall productivity.

Addressing this critical issue requires improving financial support for families by providing scholarships for low-income households to alleviate economic burdens, enhancing targeted educational programs through the establishment of academic and psychological support initiatives for students, improving the infrastructure of educational institutions, and fostering community engagement by strengthening the role of local communities in supporting education through awareness campaigns. Additionally, integrating modern technology into education can help bridge the learning gap and create more flexible and inclusive policies that cater to at-risk groups.

This vision aligns with the mission of ALMUSTAQBAL UNIVERSITY, which strives to keep pace with global scientific and technological advancements.
