Al-Mustaqbal University Enhances Its Global Academic Standing Through Distinguished Participation in the 1st International Sustainability Leaders Meeting (ISLM) 2025<br />In line with its vision to strengthen its presence in international academic forums, Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, actively participated in the ISLM 2025 conference organized by the UI Green Metric Foundation at the University of Abu Dhabi from February 26-27, 2025. The university was the only Iraqi institution present at this distinguished academic event. During the event, the Al-Mustaqbal University delegation engaged in intensive scientific discussions aimed at elevating the university's academic standing and enhancing its role in international academic circles through increased research output, strategic partnerships, and active participation in global scientific initiatives. The discussions also focused on the development of academic programs and aligning them with modern trends in scientific research to achieve sustainable development goals.<br /><br />Additionally, the delegation attended specialized scientific lectures on the mechanisms of global academic rankings, the criteria used for evaluating universities, and methods for improving institutional performance according to these standards. The delegation also reviewed and analyzed success stories from leading global universities such as the University of São Paulo, discussing the factors that contributed to their advancement in international rankings and the strategies they adopted to strengthen their academic and research stature. These discussions provided a clear vision for universities aiming to achieve higher positions on the global stage.<br /><br />During the panel discussions, Al-Mustaqbal University's representatives emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and fostering international research collaboration. They highlighted the university's achievements in scientific research and global rankings and its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of higher education in Iraq, in alignment with its ambitious strategy for academic and research excellence.<br /><br />On the sidelines of the conference, the delegation visited several laboratories and scientific departments at the University of Abu Dhabi to learn from their successful experiences and apply these insights to the development of academic programs and research facilities at Al-Mustaqbal University, thus reinforcing its position in international rankings and strengthening its role in community service and building global partnerships.<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University is ranked as the top university in Iraq.
