The Department of Biomedical Engineering organized an advisory symposium entitled "Extremism leading to Violence", as part of its effort to promote intellectual awareness among students and highlight the dangers of extremist thought and its implications for society.<br /><br />The symposium included several themes on the concept of extremism, its causes and ways to prevent it, as well as a review of the role of educational institutions in promoting a culture of moderation and non-violence. The seminar also saw a great deal of interaction from the attendees who gave their interventions and queries on the subject.<br />
