New Scientific Achievement: Assist. Lecturer M.M. Muntadhar Saleh Mahdi Publishes Research in Scopus-Indexed Journal

In a new scientific accomplishment, Assist. Lecturer M.M. Muntadhar Saleh Mahdi from the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University has published a research paper in the globally recognized Scopus-indexed journal in collaboration with a faculty member from Al-Nahrain University.

The study focuses on investigating the frictional properties of Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloys coated with nanolayers of Hydroxyapatite (HAp) and Silica Glass (SiO₂), which are commonly used in **prosthetic implants**. The results revealed that **coated samples exhibited a higher friction coefficient** compared to uncoated samples, suggesting **enhanced performance** of these alloys in medical applications where **direct bone contact** is either limited or undesirable.
